At T3RA Logistics, we believe a veteran’s skills don’t expire with their uniform — they evolve. Joseph Ryan’s story proves what happens when you give that evolution the right environment and support system.
A Tough Decision Every Veteran Faces
Joseph Ryan served in the United States Air Force as a POL troop (Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants). He managed fuel systems that kept aircraft and government vehicles mission-ready — a role that came with serious responsibility.
But after four to five years, Joseph knew it was time to explore something new. His reason was simple: he wanted to be closer to family and build a different future. Still, the transition wasn’t easy.
“We’d talk during slow shifts and ask, ‘What are we going to do when we get out?’,” he shared.
“Will we find a job that pays enough? Will we be able to support our families?”
It wasn’t just doubt — it was a wall of unknowns. And like many veterans, Joseph faced it head-on.
Fortunately, he had two key safety nets:
- A supportive family
- A chance to intern at T3RA through the DOD SkillBridge program
The SkillBridge Program That Made It Possible
The Department of Defense SkillBridge program allows active-duty service members to:
- Spend their final 4–6 months interning at a civilian company
- Continue receiving their military pay and benefits during that time
- Gain real-world work experience before fully separating from service
It’s smart, it’s underutilized, and it’s changing lives — including Joseph’s.
T3RA brought Joseph in as its first-ever SkillBridge intern. It wasn’t just a test. It was a turning point — for him and for us.
What Joseph Brought to T3RA
Joseph joined us as a Business Development Representative, and from day one, he brought the same values he lived in uniform:
- Accountability
- Speed
- Clear communication
- Team-first mindset
In his role, he:
- Acted as the single point of contact for customers
- Built rapport with carriers
- Helped troubleshoot issues in real time
- Supported the ops team with a mission-first mindset
“At T3RA, the question is always: ‘What’s the solution we can offer?’ That changes everything.”
He saw the 24/7 grind of logistics — the late-night calls, drivers needing help mid-route, customers needing answers fast — and said, this feels like home.
But what stood out even more?
“There’s passion here. People care. I’ve been in teams that say ‘we can’t do it.’
This team says, ‘we’ll figure it out.’ That makes all the difference.”
A Culture That Doesn’t Just Hire Veterans — It Respects Them
T3RA’s founder, Pardeep Singh, has served 18+ years in the military and continues to serve in the reserves. He built T3RA with one clear mission in mind:
Help veterans transition with purpose.
Give them more than a job. Give them a team that feels like home.
Joseph didn’t just fit in — he thrived. He brought insight, energy, and leadership. Now, as his internship wraps up, we’re proud to say: he’s staying. Joseph is joining T3RA as a full-time team member.
That’s the T3RA difference.
